1. Go to the home page: www.ForestCarbonPortal.com
2. Click on the blue "Join Now" button under "Join the Forest Carbon Portal Community" block.
3. Fill out the ‘Create new Account’ form. Please note that you should select "Project Manager" only if you have an existing operational project, or if you have information about an upcoming, pipeline project. This access will enable you to create and edit your own project within the site.
4. Once you have completed the form, click the "Create New Account" button.
5. An e-mail will be sent to you stating that your account is waiting for administrator approval.  Once your account has been approved, an additional e-mail will be sent to you with information on how to log in to your new account.
6. Follow the link in the e-mail saying your account has been approved to site where you will reset your password. Once your password is set, you're finished! If you have any problems signing up or logging on, or if you do not receive the password email from Forest Trends, please email general@forestcarbonportal.com.
*Important*: Please do not copy and paste text from Microsoft Word directly into any text box of the content forms. Please click on the area you wish to insert text within the text box and then click on the following “Paste from Word” icon and copy and paste your text there. This will remove any formatting from Word. Your text will appear on the spot you clicked on.
