Promoting sustainable development through plantations of natural rubber trees in Guatemala

Overview

The project agreement is to establish 2,500 hectares of new plantations of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis), using internationally recognized sustainability practices. These new plantations will contribute to mitigating climate change by generating carbon dioxide fixation by approximately 1.2 million tonnes of greenhouse gas over a period of 20 years.
