I) Operational Coordinator of the Matrinchã Project (PIN) – State of Mato Grosso, Brazil.

The REDD project is located in the North of the State of Mato Grosso in Amazon biome. The executive project will help to form an ecological corridor due to the consolidation of protected areas. The project was developed by EDCO2/PNI.
II) Operational Coordinator of the Purus Project (PIN) – State of Acre, Brazil.

Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Degradation through the conservation of the vegetal biodiversity, water resource and fauna from the Amazon biome – REDD. The PIN was developed by the technical cooperation between the Duarte da Costa Consulting – EDCO2 and the Pro-Natura International. The project will protect more than 35 thousand hectares (plus 65 thousand hectares for later) implementing a Sustainable Forest Management in compliance with stakeholders such as the landowner, public entity and local community.
III) Operational Coordinator of the Urucuia Project (PIN) – State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Forestry Project for Recuperation of Degraded Land – Energetic Reforestation and Sustainable Charcoal Production – CDM [It foresees the development of 2 (two) PDD’s]. Developed by the member of the Scientific Council of Pro-Natura International, technical responsible Teacher Ewerson Duarte da Costa. The project aims to reduce the pressure on native forests by planting 10 thousand hectares of eucalyptus fostered by the National Program of Forestry Condominiums.

PARTICIPANT OF THE XIV KATOOMBA MEETING BRAZIL.
This important conference was organized by the NGO Forest Trend and The Katoomba Group. It was held in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso during 1st to 4th of April 2009.Climate change and payment for ecosystem services were the main subject. The Environmental Minister Carlos Minc and the NGO’s were present describing efforts and goals to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in Brazil.
