Julia Philpott

Julia has 18 years international and US experience in the clean energy, forest carbon, and global climate change fields, and is an expert on GHG accounting standards, carbon finance and monetization of carbon offsets for over-the-counter (OTC) emissions trading in the US voluntary and pre-compliance carbon markets. Her specialties include identifying potential risks and opportunities related to existing policies and emergent legislation at the international as well as US federal and state levels; evaluating GHG accounting protocols and developing project-based verification standards, including quantification methodologies and accounting standards for forest and agriculture carbon projects; designing, implementing, and managing GHG mitigation projects; and incorporating biodiversity and other sustainability metrics into asset valuation tools and analysis.
