Camille Rebelo

Ms. Rebelo has a background in innovative financing mechanisms for the conservation of tropical forests. Through her involvement with the UNFCCC process since 2005, she has been involved in the growing markets for carbon forestry. Ms Rebelo has significant experience in the implementation of commercial forestry projects including application of climate change benefits of land use projects for both the compliance and voluntary markets in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia. Ms Rebelo has experience developing and managing large scale forestry operations across the developing world. Through co-founding EcoPlanet Bamboo Camille is focused on addressing drivers of deforestation through the provision of a sustainable alternative to traditional timber while achieving landscape scale restoration utilizing bamboo. Camille obtained her Masters in Environmental Management from Yale's School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and holds an undergraduate degree from Imperial College London.
