Telemetro Panama (EFE). The Panamanian authorities announced Thursday that seek to develop in the Panama Canal Basin, with the cooperation of Germany, a project to reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation, known as REDD +.
This mechanism would be implemented first in the Central American country, "seeks to acknowledge the services that forests provide the world to store large amounts of carbon," the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) in a statement.
