Job Description

PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Sustainability and Climate Change practice currently offers service to clients around the areas of: reporting and assurance, corporate responsibility advisory, environmental due diligence, responsible supply chain management, climate change, Life Cycle Assessment and economic and policy work.

In recent years we have moved heavily into forest carbon, conservation finance, corporate biodiversity strategy and environmental economics.  We are now expanding our team and are looking for Associate, Senior Associate, Manager level candidates with forestry and ecosystem experience combined with relevant qualifications.

Requirements

Associate / Senior Associate grade:

•    Previous experience within industry, NGO or public sector relevant to forestry, ecosystems or biodiversity
•    A Bachelors degree in: Environmental Science, Ecology, Forestry or Sustainable Land use is essential
•    Or a Masters in: Environmental Management, Environmental Economics, or Sustainability combined with some relevant work experience
•    Prior consulting experience is highty desirable but not a prerequisite
•    Experience of business analysis in an environmental context is preferred
•    Experience working in developing countries (especially on tropical forest projects) is preferred
•    Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other languages desirable
•    You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills
•    You should be able to demonstrate a good awareness of the concepts of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development

Manager grade (in addition to above):

•    Established network of contacts within industry, NGO or public sector circles focusing on ecosystems and forestry
•    Proficiency in French of Spanish strongly preferred


Responsibilities

•    Deliver client project work in the above areas
•    Contribute to growth of team and business development
•    Deliver cutting-edge thought leadership on market mechanisms for conservation
•    You will be required to travel to client sites as part of the role
