Climate Change Professionals
Effective with the release of this announcement, Winrock International is seeking applications from highly qualified professionals in the field of climate change vulnerability and adaptation for upcoming USAID-funded programs worldwide. We are recruiting for both long-term and short-term assignment opportunities for potential positions. Positions are contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Education: Advanced degree in climate change science, environmental conservation and management, natural science, forestry, development studies, or other relevant international development field.
Work Experience: Eight years of relevant technical or management experience in climate change related fields; experience on multi-disciplinary teams and in various international settings is a plus; demonstrated experience working on climate change and development with a sound understanding of climate change as a developmental issue; understanding of vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation issues in terms of building resilience in countries likely to be impacted by climate change; forestry and energy sector management; experience with AFOLU projects and methodologies; and knowledge of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, standards, and basic measurement methodologies is needed.
USAID experience highly desired
Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; extensive knowledge of global issues of climate change; fully proficient skills in Microsoft Office and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. climate change modeling software; excellent presentation, communications, and writing skills along with management/team building skills are required.
